Foursquare Surpassed The 5 Million Mark And Is Seeing More Than 2 Million Check-Ins A Day

At the LeWeb conference in Paris, Foursquare co-founder and CEO Dennis Crowley announced that company’s geosocial service surpassed the 5 million mark late last week and is seeing 2 million checkins and 25,000 user signups each day.


For a service that only had 500,000 users in March of this year, reaching 5 million is a sign that foursquare is finally starting to catch on with more mainstream users, as they see the advantages of sharing their location and unlocking the tips, badges and rewards their cities have to offer.


Crowley was also grilled by LeWeb and Seesmic founder Loic Le Meur on rumored acquisition offers from Facebook and Yahoo earlier this year. He essentially confirmed that Face… .. .
